A member of staff since early 2010, Anne is well suited to managing the multitude of details that arise in the daily operation of the office. She possesses very strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
Anne studied French, German and Norwegian at the University of Southampton in England, and over the years she has been a teacher of English, a bookkeeper, an assistant financial officer, a loan documentation paralegal, a loan operations manager, and a note teller. She has worked for two banks, a real estate company and a law firm.
With her paralegal experience and her background in languages, Anne is an excellent proofreader/ editor of the complex documents related to conservation easements. Her financial background is an asset at KLT since she is responsible for paying bills, sending out invoices, processing payments, banking, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports for the board.
Anne’s family has been through the process of donating a conservation easement, so she has a good understanding of the steps involved and the emotions experienced by the various generations of family members. She is the daughter of Mick and Nicky Pleass, founders of the Mickinnick Trail.
Anne was a sailing and ski instructor for several years after college, and these remain her favorite outdoor activities, which she enjoys with her husband, Bill, a retired political cartoonist. Anne also loves swimming (participating in 13 Long Bridge Swims) and riding her bike (completing the TransAmerica Bicycle Trail). Anne, Bill and their son, Kit, moved to Sandpoint in 1995.
