Bruce Sterling, Member

Bruce was raised in a small south-central town in Wyoming where he grew up hunting and fishing. He graduated from the University of Montana with a degree in Wildlife Biology, and completed his Master’s Degree in Wildlife Sciences at New Mexico State University.

For the past 30 years Bruce has been working for Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, and for 27 years he has been the area management wildlife biologist in Thompson Falls. In this capacity Bruce is responsible for big game management on 2,200 square miles of the Lower Clark Fork Valley. He has helped purchase five wildlife management areas that protect critical habitat for bighorn sheep, moose, elk and numerous other wildlife species.

Bruce has been married to his wonderful wife, Meredith, for 33 years and they have three great children, Cassidy, Chelsey and Cade. In Bruce’s spare time he greatly enjoys hunting, fly fishing, backpacking, waterskiing, gardening and dabbling in the making of beer.
