The Walk 7B program is designed to bring people together through movement, exploration, friendship and adventure!
It’s brought to you by Sandpoint Parks and Recreation, Kaniksu Land Trust, The Arthritis Foundation and the National Recreation and Park Association. The Walk 7B program aims to: *Reduce the pain and discomfort of arthritis, *Increase balance, strength and walking pace, *Build confidence in your ability to be physically active, and *Improve overall health.
During our winter season, approximately October – May, walkers will meet weekly on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays. Walkers may choose to join the 10 a.m. walking group or 4 p.m. walking group. Each group is led by a designated walking coach.
Both a.m. and p.m. groups meet at the Fairgrounds Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday’s a.m. group will meet at First Christian Church and an indoor location will be assigned weekly by your walking leader for the Thursday p.m. group.
Session 3 begins January 3rd and ends February 2nd. Register by December 27th at Sandpoint Parks and Rec, 1123 Lake Street in Sandpoint. Class fee is $15. For other session dates refer to the Parks and Recreation Fall Winter Activity Booklet or call the P&R Office at (208) 263-3613.
