MCC at Judy’s Place

Over the last year KLT has been working to complete access improvements at “Judy’s Place” at 75 acre preserve near Clark Fork that was acquired through grant funding in 2016 to protect important wildlife habitat and provide a place for school groups and the general public to engage with the natural world. A new parking lot has been built and a timber frame pavilion to host educational programs is underway. We have had so much help to make Judy’s Place a wonderful location to learn and play. In the first week of July we were excited to host a youth crew from the Montana Conservation Corps, an organization dedicated to inspiring young people through hands-on conservation service to be leaders, stewards of the land, and engaged citizens. This remarkable group of young people spent a week at Judy’s Place putting up fencing and building bridges, making this property even more accessible. We are grateful for their hard work and look forward to inviting friends and neighbors to a grand opening of the preserve this coming fall.
